Mass of Christian Burial for Irene M. (Keller) Iskra, 72, of Concord Township, will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North St., Chardon, at 11:30 AM. Mrs. Iskra died Monday, March 13 at her residence.

She was born on July 13, 1944 in Cleveland, She was a 50 year resident of Willoughby Hills before moving to Concord 8 months ago. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Felicitas Catholic Church, now St. John of the Cross. She was an excellent baker, working at several bakeries. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross’s International Disaster Relief. She volunteered her time and skills in many places, such as Ground Zero, Hurricane Katrina, and in Puerto Rico.

She enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially for the holidays. Her grandchildren were very special to her. She also enjoyed a good game of Bridge. She was a very generous person, with a motto of “call me if you need anything”.

She is survived by her son John (Ani), her daughter Laura (Joe) Cook, grandchildren Evelyn “Evie”, Anton “A.J.” and Mikaela “Miki” Iskra, and Patrick and Kayleigh Cook, her brother Bob Keller, sister Joan Trueblood, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Anton “Tony”, and her parents Frank J. and Victoria (Milavec) Keller.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Irene on Sunday from 2-6 PM at The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Rd. (between Bishop and Rt. 91). Fr. Daniel Redmond will officiate at the Mass. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
