Hilda M. Karczewski

HILDA M. KARCZEWSKI (nee Gowing) age 93, beloved wife of the late Raymond; loving mother of Sandy Samac (nee Means); devoted grandmother of Tracy (husband Mike) Dougherty and Erik Samac (wife Jennifer) and great-grandmother of Nikolena, Niko and Max Samac; cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (nee Harris) Gowing; dearest sister of the late Ellen and Joe (wife Asta); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Hilda was born July 30, 1924 in Cleveland Ohio and passed away December 16, 2017 in Newbury Ohio at Holly Hill Nursing Home after a courageous battle with Dementia. She was a resident of Euclid for 44 years and worked as an inspector of decals. Hilda enjoyed decorating cakes, making ceramics and working in her garden and yard. She enjoyed spending the holidays with her family and friends. Hilda will be remembered most as a very independent and loving woman who was full of life. She will be dearly missed.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Hilda at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 2-4 & 5-7 PM. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory.
