Funeral Service for Henrietta M. Ippolito, aged 90, will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
Born March 14, 1926 in Halloway, Ohio, Henrietta resided with her son in Mentor, and previously in Seven Hills. She was a parishioner at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Seven Hills. Henrietta was involved in the A.P.L. and loved her animals. She was employed as a waitress at Fanny’s, Corky & Lenny’s and Crystal Bar-B-Que. Henrietta worked on bombers in support of the World War II effort. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening and listening to Big Band music and Dean Martin.
She is survived by her children Gerald V. Gardner (Kathy), grandchildren Jerry, Kristina Svancara (Mark) and Nicole, great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Vaughn and Marc “Frankie” Svancara and her sister Pauline Johngrass.
Mrs. Ippolito was preceded in death by her husbands George Ippolito and James Doman, sister Marge Fagen and brother Edward “Buddy” Lipscomb.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Henrietta at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-8 PM. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
