HELENE C. HORVATH (nee Calire), age 91; beloved wife of the late Andrew C. Horvath and William Minissale; loving mother of William Minissale (wife Janice); devoted grandmother of Melissa & Carl Falsone, Lisa & Brian Potts and great-grandmother of Alicia, Ella, Brian and Sam; daughter of the late Rose (nee Orlando) and Joseph Calire.
Helene lived in Mayfield Heights for 45 years and prior to that in South Euclid. At a young age in the early 1940s, she started working at her parent’s import store and went on to make draperies at her brother’s shop. After working for the family businesses, Helene spent most of her life in sales. Whether she was selling Avon as a young mother, woman’s clothing or jewelry, Helene was hardworking, giving her all to career and family. She always made time for her son, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren. Her love for her family was undeniable, from her Baby Bill to her Bunnies. When she wasn’t working or cleaning, she loved to spend time at her camper, travel, gamble, and shop. She will be remembered as an amazingly strong woman who did it ALL.
At her request, no services will be held. Entombment in Knollwood Cemetery. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory.
