HELEN I. SMITH (nee Ingham) age 88, beloved wife of the late Gerald Ross Smith; loving mother of Alison Ingham-Smith and Roxanne Smith-Mansell (husband Louis); cherished daughter of the late Percy and Florence (nee Barber).
Helen was born on April 10, 1929 in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania and passed away on May 14, 2017. She was a resident of The Waterford of Richmond Heights for 5 years, formerly of Holmes County and Cleveland Heights. Helen graduated from Holmquist School for Girls and Oberlin College. She was a homemaker, social worker, photographer and refinished furniture. Helen was a member of the Holmes County Historical Society, Glenmont Garden Club and Killbuck Historical Society. She volunteered at Joel Pomerene Hospital and Holmes County Training Center. Helen was a curator at the Victorian House Museum in Millersburg and loved photography, sewing, painting and drawing. She adored holiday visits with her family. Helen loved to read, especially histories about inventions and scientific discoveries. She will be remembered most as a very intelligent, creative and mentally tough woman. Helen will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 at 6 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Helen at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 5-6 PM.
