HELEN F. SHEA (nee Fox) age 99, beloved wife of the late Clarence; loving mother of Gerold (wife Barbara) and William; devoted grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 13; cherished daughter of the late Charles and Anna (nee Cradis) Fox; dearest sister of Richard Fox (wife Patricia), and the late Eli Fox, Stephen, William, Charles, Dorothy Debevec, and Edward Fox; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Helen was born July 13, 1917 and died June 29, 2017. She graduated from Euclid Shore High School in 1935. She married the love of her life Clarence in 1939. Helen lived in Lyndhurst before moving to Breckenridge in Willoughby ten years ago. She retired as an engineering assistant at General Motors, where she worked for over 25 years. Helen was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, and was in the choir. She was a member of the Garden Club of Lyndhurst, and enjoyed golf, bowling, and knitting. She loved dancing, especially polka; and playing cards, especially pinochle. Helen’s family described her as a real lady with great modesty, integrity, and a heart of gold. She was giving and generous, and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Helen to the Ursuline Sisters at 2600 Lander Rd., Pepper Pike, OH 44124; or Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, 38879 Mentor Ave, Willoughby, OH 44094. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 5659 Mayfield Rd. in Lyndhurst. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Helen at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4-8PM.
