HELEN ATKIAN (nee Demirjian) age 92, beloved wife of the late Harry; loving mother of Dick (wife Deborah) and Thomas (wife Joan); devoted grandmother of Shannon Sanchez (husband Ricardo) and Melissa Giannetta, great-grandmother of Cassandra, Erik and Thomas; cherished daughter of the late Karekin and Arousyak (nee Derderian) Demirjian; dearest sister of Richard Demirjian (wife Alice, deceased) and the late Alice Bagdasarian (husband Alex, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Helen was born on June 10, 1923 in Youngstown and passed away on December 14, 2015. She was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 30 years previously residing in Cleveland. Helen was a parishioner at St. Gregory of Narek Armenian Church where she was a member of the Women’s Guild and Parish Council Chairman. She graduated from John Adams High School and attended Western Reserve University. Helen was the owner/operator of The Flower Place at La Place Center. She loved flowers, did interior decorating, and painting, becoming an artist at age 80. Helen’s family and friends will remember her as the boss, she loved to be in control. She was very giving of her time and passionate about everything she did.

Funeral Service Friday, December 18, 2015, at Knollwood Mausoleum 1678 SOM Center Rd Mayfield Hts, OH at 9:30 AM followed by a Graveside Service. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Helen at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
