Hazel L. (Cordle) Starnes

Hazel L. (Cordle) Starnes (nee Young) age 91, passed away on February 27, 2024.  Hazel was born October 23, 1932, to the late Bruce and Gladys (nee Jordan) in Smith Creek, Kentucky. She was a 1950 graduate of Minford High School.  Hazel was an active member of the Northeast Independent Baptist Church where she enjoyed bible study and fellowship with other members. She retired from The Chardon Rubber Company. Over the years, Hazel enjoyed camping with family, shopping, fixing homecooked meals for her family and friends, listening to gospel and country music. Those that knew her will remember her as a quick-witted, caring, and at times, feisty (in a good way) person that will be missed by those that had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived her sons, Darrell (Diane) Cordle of Newark and Kevin (Julie) Cordle of Rome; grandchildren Zachary Cordle of Newark and Sara (Jacques Shipp) Cordle of Marion; sisters Carol Slone and Donna Jean Conley of Minford; aunt and great- aunt of many.

Hazel is preceded by her parents, beloved husband of 40 plus years, Paul Cordle, brothers and sisters, Roy Young, Albert Young, Ruth Hanes, Art Young, Marie Horvath, and Earl Young.

Burial will take place at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens on FRIDAY, March 8th at 11am. PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY.
