Harry Charles Bruch, Junior was born to proud parents, Lillian and Harry Bruch, Senior on January 18, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was confirmed into faith on June 13, 1943 with these words: “And He died for all, so that those who live might live no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised for them”. (2 Corinthians 5:15) In 1996, Dad wrote of truly knowing the Lord. It changed his thinking and emotional being. He did not want to change his ways, he said, but “the Holy Spirt won out”.
Harry and Marge met in 1949 on a blind date. It was love at first sight as Marjorie broke her engagement to another. They were married June 30, 1951 and moved into their first home. “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Matthew 19:6). Harry and Marge began parenting in 1953.
Harry and Marge greatly enjoyed camping and vacations. They explored the east coast and New England with their four children in a pop-up camper. In 1971, they purchased the first hard top trailer and there was no stopping them. They lived for their weekends with family and friends. They continued camping until 2010 traveling all over the United States. Upon retirement, they began their world travel via cruises, elder hostels and travel excursions.
Harry had many interests which included a life-long passion for photography as well as woodworking, silver working and the creation of stained glass. Some of their vacations included mining rocks to turn into jewelry. His creativity was endless. From the years of antique clock repair to the creation of specialized hot dog forks for camping, Harry’s imagination knew no bounds.
Marge and Harry helped raise their grandchildren. Through camping trips, three week individual cross country travel, overnights and special events, they developed a special, individual, personal relationship with each child. When living in Arizona, summers were spent living in trailers with their children and grandchildren close by in either Ohio or Montana. These memories will sustain their family in all the years to come.
Dad loved the Lord with all of his heart, soul and mind. Mom and Dad are now together forever. We hope all will rejoice in his passing as he lives with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. “Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done gloriously.” (Isaiah 12:5)
