Gregory Mamone

GREGORY PETER MAMONE age 52, cherished son of Joseph and Patricia (nee Cusack); dearest brother of Nancy Zoller, Edward (wife Lisa Roberts-Mamone), and David (wife Megan); beloved uncle of Adrian Zoller (husband Matt Pieper), Helen Zoller (Tyler); Kate and Chris Mamone; and Mary, Molly, Jack and Timmy Mamone and great-uncle of Mack; dear grandson of the late Peter and Edna Mamone, and the late Edward and Edna Cusack; treasured nephew of Danny and Lorry Cusack; wonderful cousin and friend of many.

Gregory was born on May 27, 1969 in Cleveland, OH and passed away on September 1, 2021 with his family by his side. Greg was a renaissance man; he loved the past and always looked forward to the future. He was a history buff and could tell you anything and everything there was to know, especially when it came to WWII. Although he was faced with tremendous challenges from a young age there was more to learn from Greg than just a few facts and dates. He portrayed strength and resilience in his every-day life and always managed to keep the air light by sharing a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed watching humorous shows, yet always managed to switch back to the history or news channel to continue his knowledge. Greg was happy. He was engaged in life and always interested in what was going on around him. Greg was a marvelous man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is now free.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Greg to The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.

Relatives and friends are requested to meet Wednesday, September 8, 2021 for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clare Catholic Church, 5659 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland, OH 44124, at 10 AM.

Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Greg at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) TUESDAY 6-8 PM.
