Grace Y. Araba

GRACE Y. ARABA (nee Ekundebe) age 74, loving mother of Michael (wife Temitayo), Gabriel (wife Teniayo) Raphael (wife Oluwatosin), Omowunmi Olopade (husband Olorunloba) and Steve; devoted grandmother of Oluwabukunmi, Oluwaromilola, Ifeloluwa, Ijobajesude Olopade, Ireayomikun, Orisunayonimi, Oyinloluwa, Mojolaoluwa, and Oluwafamimora; dearest sister of Omobola Oyeleye.

Grace was born June 30, 1948 in Ondo Town, Nigeria where she lived more than half of her life.  She moved to the United Kingdom for 20 years before relocating to the United States and settling in Willoughby, Ohio for the last 12 years.  Grace retired after serving in the healthcare field in nursing and management.  She enjoyed being with her family and especially cooking for them.  Grace was a woman of faith and loved to pray.  She instilled the importance of education in her children and grandchildren.  She was generous, kind, strong, intelligent, entrepreneurial, always loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor.  Her children also shared that she was a real ‘go getter’.  She will be deeply missed by many families and friends around the world.

Celebration of Life Service SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Word of Grace Church, 9021 Mayfield Rd., Chesterland. Reception to follow. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Grace at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND, 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3^rd from 10-11 AM with Christian Burial Service at 11:00 AM and Burial following at Willoughby Municipal Cemetery.
