GORDON “DON” BLEWETT, 75, of Chardon, entered into eternal life, Sunday December 18, 2016 at Mentor Woods.
Born February 18, 1941 in Cleveland, OH, Don was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was employed for 32 years and retired from the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company in 1993. Don enjoyed the outdoors and loved boating and snorkeling. In addition, he played a variety of instruments including the accordion, piano, and guitar.
Don is survived by his wife of 16 years Kathryn (nee Palermo). Children Jeffrey Marlough (wife Yukimi), Gregory Marlough, Debora Usnik (husband David), Thomas Marlough (wife Catie), Jennifer Miller (husband Brandon), Dawn Riebe, M.D. (husband Michael, D.D.S.); grandchildren Naomi Marlough, Ari Marlough, Alexandra Usnik, Evan Usnik, Claire Marlough, Samantha Miller, Ava Miller, Emma Riebe, and Evan Riebe; brother Jack Blewett (wife Shirley), and sister Heather Strauss; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. He is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Mary (nee Henderson) Blewett; brother in-law of Jerry Korosec. Contributions may be made in Don’s memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.
A Celebration of Life Service will be THURSDAY, December 22, 2016 at 6 pm at the funeral home. A private entombment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. Family will received friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Don at the DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 2-6 PM.
