Gloria M. Grief

GLORIA M. (Wile) GRIEF (nee Benedict) age 93, beloved wife of the late James R.; loving mother of Peter Wile Jr. (wife Sue) and Jeffrey Wile (wife Donna); grandmother; cherished daughter of the late John and Dorothy (nee Hopkins) Benedict; dearest sister of John Benedict (wife Sally).

Gloria was born January 27, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended high school in Canton and got her bachelor’s degree at Western Reserve University in elementary education. She worked at Cleveland Heights High School as a Learning Disabilities Teacher. She enjoyed traveling and listening to Frank Sinatra, Perry Como and Dean Martin. Many would describe her as intelligent, social with a sense of humor and a devoted mother and teacher. Gloria passed away on October 30, 2023. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gloria memory to Animal Protective League, 1729 Willey Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 10 AM at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Rd., Highland Heights, Ohio 44143. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Gloria at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) MONDAY 4-7 PM.
