Gloria Lorenzo

GLORIA A. LORENZO (nee Azzolina) age 73, beloved wife of the late Urban Michael “Nonnie” Lorenzo and fiancé of Anthony Marino; loving mother of Nicholas Lorenzo and Carmel Costabile (husband Greg); devoted grandmother of Gabriella Costabile, Kayla Lorenzo and Marco Costabile; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (nee Zingale) Azzolina; dearest sister of Joanna Pedone, Rose Parrino, Anthony Azzolina (wife Ginger) and Josie Kersey (husband James); dear aunt, great-aunt and friend of many.

Gloria was born on October 26, 1946 and passed away on June 22, 2020. She grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Warrensville Heights High School. Gloria was a parishioner of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a proud member of the Italian American Women’s Club. She was a devoted homemaker and loved to entertain her family and friends. Gloria was an avid bowler and golfer. Just recently, on September 3, 2019 she had a hole in one at Pine Ridge golf course. She was an amazing cook and an outstanding baker. Every year, she created at least 30 holiday cookie trays with over 26 different types of cookies that she would deliver to family and friends. Gloria enjoyed all types of music and loved to dance. Her family, grandkids and friends gave her the most enjoyment in life. She whole-heartedly put everyone before herself. Gloria was a truly giving women who was a great listener and a “go to” for everything big and small. She loved to have fun and make everything fun. Gloria will be remembered most as having a zest for life and always adding a little bit of sparkle to everything. She will forever be missed.

Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 6850 Mayfield Rd, Gates Mills, OH 44040. (Masks required). Private burial at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Gloria following the MASS AT CHURCH.
