Glenna Carol Vittel

GLENNA C. VITTEL (nee Clunk) age 88, beloved wife for 37 years of Robert; loving mother of Michael and Daniel Gallagher, Kathleen Abraham (husband Richard), Karen Whiting (husband Dan), Robert Vittel Jr., Karolyn Squire (husband Matt) and Susan Duckworth (husband Chris); devoted grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 5; cherished daughter of the late Donald and Mary (nee Jaconis) Clunk; dearest sister of her twin Jean Blaha (husband Jerry, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Glenna was born on January 22, 1931 in Cleveland and passed away on March 14, 2019. She was a resident of Chardon for 37 years and a member of Divine Word Catholic Church. Glenna graduated from St. Francis High School in 1949 and attended Lakeland Community College. She worked as a legal secretary and loved cooking, reading, shopping and fashion. Glenna will be remembered most as a kind, thoughtful, non-judgmental, giving and generous woman. She was accepting, social, outgoing, funny and witty. Glenna’s motto was “live and let live”. She will be dearly missed.

Contributions may be made in memory of Glenna to American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Divine Word Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Glenna at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 4-8 PM.
