Gladys Rini

GLADYS L. RINI age 76, loving mother of Domonic (fiance Kellie) and Tony; devoted grandmother of Anthony (fiance Jennifer), Christine, Maggie, Olivia, and the late JoAnn; cherished daughter of the late Violet McComas (Bernie McComas); dearest sister of the late Josephine Radovanic; survived by her feline companions, Lily and Ava, her K9 companions, Chloe and Her Hero Luca, and preceded in death by her feline companions Fran and Boots.

Gladys was born in Niagra Falls, Canada, on August 30, 1943 and passed away on February 29, 2020. She was a long-time resident of Cleveland and Euclid and prior to that, lived in St. Catharine’s Ontario, Canada. Gladys graduated from East High School, and attended Cleveland State University with a focus on Early Childhood Education and Psychology. She was elected to the State Central Committee for the Republican Party 21st Senatorial District for 2 years, and also served on the Nottingham Neighborhood Watch. Gladys liked to crochet, and play bingo and scratch offs. She loved music from the 1950’s, such as Elvis, The Platters, and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. She was a Cleveland sports fan and loved spending time with friends and family, especially over an ice cold Diet Coke. Gladys will be remembered as strong-willed, and always looking out for others. She will be dearly missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Gladys at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY 12 NOON-1 PM.
