Gladys Clay

GLADYS CLAY (nee Mosley), aged 86 years, wife of Louis B. Clay, beloved mother of Kevin Cylar (Carol), Nicole Culp (Tom) and the late Lamont, loving Nana of Jaida, pre-deceased by six siblings.

Our mother is the most amazing person that we know. She had unconditional love and would do anything for anyone. If you came to visit, you would definitely not leave hungry. She was the “rock” of our family. She raised me, Mont, and Kevin to be amazing kids! We can’t begin to describe how we feel about her. She had many friends that adored her. One of the most important things for me was to make sure she and my dad had a grandchild. Jaida was the most precious thing to her. Mom was able to be in her life for almost 19 years. She affectionately called her “Jade” and Jaida called her “Nana”.  She made me who I am today. We were best friends and went shopping and lunch together I don’t know how I will continue without her, but I have an amazing family that need me; how ironic, I’m the “rock” of my family because I learned from the best. I love you mom, more than life!

Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Gladys at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY OCT. 9, 2021, FROM 1-4 PM. NOTE: Family requests masks and social distancing be observed.
