Gianni Piazza

GIANNI MARCO PIAZZA age 2, passed peacefully in the arms of his parents September 4, 2017 at Hospice House. He was born with a rare brain malformation Polymicrogyria and also suffered from Ohtahara syndrome. Gianni brought a new meaning to the word Love.  Cherished son of Crissy (nee Potz) and P.J.; dearest twin brother of Vinnie; adored grandson of Cora (nee Gentile) and Steve Potz, Diane (nee Ange) and Paul Piazza and great-grandson of Domenica and Sabatino Gentile, Anna and Steve (deceased) Potz, Rachel and Louis (deceased) Ange, and the late Katherine and Joseph Piazza; beloved nephew of Dave (Nikki) Potz, Jenny (Dean) Barker and Jennifer (Kevin) Gahagan; cherished cousin of Cole and Piper Potz, Jayden and Alaina Barker, Gianna and Jake Gahagan; dear great-nephew and cousin of many.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and Hospice of the Western Reserve for all of their love and support and the many friends and family for every bit of love and support.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:30 AM.  Burial following at All Saints Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Gianni at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 2-4 & 5-8 PM.
