Gerald Voelkel

GERALD P. VOELKEL age 77, cherished son of the late Herman and Frances (nee Okicki); dearest brother of William; treasured uncle of Justin (wife Emily); dear great-uncle of Violet. U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Gerald was born on July 29, 1942 in Cleveland and passed away on February 3, 2020. He was a resident of Highland Heights since 1969, and grew up in Lyndhurst. Gerald graduated from Brush High School in 1960 and was a Cleveland Browns fan. He worked for Chrysler in Twinsburg as an autoworker. Gerald will be remembered most as a quiet, reserved, hardworking, friendly and funny man. He will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Entombment following with Military Honors at All Souls Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Gerald at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 6-8 PM.
