GEORGE T. SCHNEIDER, beloved husband for 59 years of Dorothy P. (nee Gerscheski); loving father of Cynthia D. “Cindy” and Pamela J.; treasured son of the late George and Marie (nee Arbogast); cherished brother of Al (wife Jan), Paul (Vi), Dorothy Schieb (husband Bob) and the late John (wife Jean); special uncle to Jef Gattozzi and dear uncle and great-uncle to many other nieces and nephews. World War II U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran.

George lived in Cleveland Heights for the last 56 years. He graduated from Collinwood High School and Fenn College with a Business Degree. George was President of Parts, Inc., an automotive parts distributor. He was a baseball enthusiast, having played at Fenn College and also enjoyed bowling, golf and gardening. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church for the last ten years and Grace Lutheran Church before that. George was active in the church as a trustee and member of the council. He was a member of the Alliance of Transylvanian Saxons and Collinwood Memories. He got the most enjoyment in life by spending time with his daughters. He was always teaching, in his soft-spoken, caring way. George was hardworking, handy and a true gentleman and will be missed for his likeable, social nature.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in George’s memory to Messiah Lutheran Church 5200 Mayfield Rd, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 or to Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.

A Memorial Service in celebration of George’s life will be Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church 1000 Ford Rd., Highland Heights, OH 44143. Burial will be private. Family will receive friends to celebrate the life of George at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) Friday, November 6 from 3-7 PM.
