George Remner

George Remner age 95 died May 9^th 2017 at Altercare in Mentor. He was born in Cleveland on August 14, 1921.  George was a graduate of East Tech High School. A Proud a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, he was in charge of guarding prisoners.

George was a retired sales consultant with an electronics company.

He was very knowledgeable with electronics and could fix just about anything. George enjoyed bowling and walking. He spent many hours walking instead of driving his car. He was a very funny man that made people laugh all the time. His family described him as a very ethical man that took great pride in raising his four children and taking care of his family. George was a hardworking man and taught his four sons the value of hard work.

George is survived by sons Wayne (wife Diane), Gary, Craig (wife Jane Quilty) and Keith Remner; grandchildren Justin (wife Becky) and Dawn Remner, Lyndsey Tenhonsel (husband Mark),  Jessica Woods (husband Mat),  Melissa Fowler (husband Jeff), Karen Hadden (husband George) and great grandchildren Garrett, Owen, Raelynn, Wilson, Layton, Theodore and Gavin.

George was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (nee Bell); parent’s George and Anna (nee Hartman); sisters Ann DeMichael and Marge and his beloved black lab canine companion, Midnight.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Graveside Services with Military Honors, Saturday May 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Cemetery 11333 Granger Rd, Garfield Heights, OH, where he will be laid to rest with his wife Dorothy.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of George at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY MORNING 11-12 PM.
