GEORGE A. PALUF age 91, beloved husband for 70 years of Rose Marie (nee Papp); loving father of Sr. Donna, SND, Timothy (wife Darlene (nee Bozza)) and Karen Kruse (husband Kenneth); devoted grandfather of Timothy (wife Stacey), Christy Menzies (husband Nicholas), Ryan Paluf, Kevin Kruse (fiancé Amber Guizzotti), Kyle Kruse and great-grandfather of Adelaide, Bennett, Hannah, Timothy, and Conor; dearest brother of the late Ann Planicka (husband Tony, deceased), Andrew (wife Dorothy), Joseph (wife Rita, deceased) (wife Helen, deceased), Joanna, and Margie; treasured brother-in-law of Irene and the late Robert Papp; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. WWII U.S. Army-Air Force Veteran.

George was born February 9, 1927 and passed away on June 26, 2018. He lived in Solon for the past 25 years but grew up in Cleveland. He graduated from Benedictine High School in 1945. He was happily married to his wife Rose Marie for 70 years. George was a member of Church of the Resurrection for 25 years and active in the Knights of Columbus in Solon. He served his country proudly during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Force. George had interest such as Cleveland sports, Notre Dame football, taking care of his yard, and collecting coins. He was a handy man who loved to fix things. George also enjoyed polka music and traveling in US and Europe. He was a hardworking, funny, and outgoing man. George will be remembered for being devoted to his faith and family. He will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 32001 Cannon Rd., Solon, OH 44139. Burial following with military honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of George at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 3-8 PM.
