George Measor

GEORGE J. MEASOR age 84, beloved husband for 60 years of the late Marion (nee Takacs); loving father of Louie, George (wife Gabby), Jimmie (Pam Marcinko), Kathie Betley (husband Buck), Sharyn, Robbie (Laurie), and the late infant Karyn; devoted grandfather of Mario Measor, Karyn Spanulo, Samantha and Chloe Fielding, and great-grandfather of Lexi; dearest brother of Marge “Sally” Measor, Cathy Risko (husband Johnny), Elmer Measor, the late Helen Scaperato and Irene Measor. Korean Conflict U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. 61 year member of Local 3 Asbestos Workers.

George was born June 4, 1931 in Cleveland and passed away September 28, 2015 at his home in Mayfield Heights, where he had been a resident for the past 56 years. George was a graduate of Shaw High School and worked in insurance sales and as a pipe coverer. He enjoyed playing cards and golfing, especially golf trips to Florida and camping and golfing in Andover. George loved spending time with his family and his grandkids held a special place in his heart. He will be remembered for his loving nature and his great sense of humor.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of George at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 12 – 4 PM.
