George Kavasis

GEORGE A. KAVASIS age 68; beloved husband for 38 years of Donna (nee Fendrich); cherished son of the late Anastasios and Vasilia; dearest brother of Theodore of Greece; dear uncle and cousin of many.

After being born and raised in Greece, George was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 25 years. He worked as a manager of a greenhouse as well as a computer programmer. George enjoyed traveling to Greece, watching sports and spending time with friends. He especially loved walking long distances and attending Greek festivals. George battled Multiple Myeloma for many years. He will be fondly remembered as a simple man who was kind, full of humor, always willing to help and remembered everyone’s birthdays.

Trisagion Service Thursday July 3, 2014 at 5:30 PM, Fr Stephen Callos officiating at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Burial will take place in Athens, Greece. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of George at the FUNERAL HOME THURSDAY 3-7 PM.
