GEORGE S. HOBERNEY, age 76 passed away December 3, 2013 in Willoughby Hills. He was born January 25, 1937 in Lilly, PA. He was the beloved husband for 56 years of Rita (nee Tutsock); loving father of Malinda Miozzi (Russ), Denise Mertik (Joe), George, Jr, Annette Drocton (Jerry) and Brian; devoted grandfather of Jeff Miozzi (Melissa), Nicole McEwen (Garrett), Stacey and Jackie Miozzi, Jerry, Laura and Mathew Drocton, Daniel, Greggory and Kenneth Hoberney and great-grandfather of London and Katie Miozzi; cherished son of the late Albert and Angeline (nee Latoche) Hoberney; dearest brother of Carrie Mitsko (Bill, deceased), Ann Ference (Nick, deceased), Veronica Charvat (Paul), Walter (Maryann) and the late Rose Sterbackey (John, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

George was a resident of Willoughby Hills and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, after moving from Cleveland Heights in 1972. He was the owner/operator of a refrigeration company and belonged to the Benscreek Social Club in Pennsylvania. In his free time, George enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, boating, taking care of his dogs and listening to Country and Polka music. He will be well remembered as a loving father with a good heart who was hard-working and a good provider.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 6, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Willoughby) at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of George at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
