Celebration of Life Service for George H.S. Edwards, 68, will be on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 8 PM at The DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon. Mr. Edwards died on Monday at his home surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Chardon for 45 years.
George was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Chesterland. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion. George was a maintenance engineer at General Electric for 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved cars. George will be remembered by family and friends as caring, thoughtful, selfless, loyal and honorable. He was a true warrior who loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Patricia (nee Line); children Melissa A. Began (husband Rudy), William L. (wife Erin), Ian S. (Christen); grandchildren Nicholas, Alexis, Gage, Ryan, and Temperance; sister Leslie Ellul; beloved canine companion Higgins.
Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents William E. and Violet (nee Trumphour); brother William (wife Margaret).
