GEORGE E. VELOSKI age 77, beloved husband for 57 years of Patricia (nee Kelly); loving father of Peggy Siebert, George (wife Loretta), and Kathleen Augis (husband Andre); devoted grandfather of Kyle, Emily and Evan Siebert, Becca Tinnel (husband Jason), Melissa Hatton (husband Lucas) and great-grandfather of Isabella, Chandler, and Keegan Tinnel, Bailey and Maci Hatton; cherished son of the late George F. and Mary (nee Zuzek); dearest brother of Daniel (wife Helene) and the late Barbara Swigonski (husband Frank, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

George was born on June 20, 1939 in Gowanda, New York and passed away on June 1, 2017. He was a 41-year resident in Chardon and a member of St. Mary Church. George was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Chardon Eagles. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in 1957 and worked as a repairman for Sears. George loved wood working, yard working and enjoyed helping others as a handy-man. Family time, traveling to New England and helping others gave George the most enjoyment in life. He will be remembered most as a man with a great sense of humor. George was very kind to his family and others, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. George was very humble, good to all and was an “everyday kind of guy”. He will be dearly missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church 401 North St., Chardon at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of George at THE CHURCH THURSDAY MORNING 9-10 AM. Arrangements by DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro).
