Gary W. Roby

GARY W. ROBY, aged 68 years, beloved husband for 47 years to Susan (nee Molnar), devoted father of Nathan (wife Colleen), Carly (husband Estanislao Escano) and Erica Frank (husband Richard), loving grandfather of Dylan, Graciella and Jacob Escano, Lyla Roby and Richard Frank, cherished brother of Charlene White (husband Tim).

Gary was born in Warren, Ohio on March 30, 1953 and passed away September 15, 2021. He was a 1971 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School and was a resident of Gates Mills for 28 years. Gary was a carpenter by trade and a member of Local #1478. Later in his career he worked for the R.P. Carbone Construction Co. and the John G. Johnson Construction Co. where he served as construction superintendent. Gary enjoyed boating, fishing and was a saltwater aquarium enthusiast. He also enjoyed playing guitar and was proud to coach the baseball team his son played on.  Gary enjoyed spending time with all his family, but especially looked forward to the times spent with his grandchildren.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Celebration of Life Service Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at the funeral home at 6:30 PM. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Gary at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME OF CHESTERLAND, 12811 CHILLICOTHE RD. (Rt. 306 just South of Mayfield Rd.) WEDNESDAY FROM 4 PM UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE.
