Frank Swigonski

FRANK SWIGONSKI, age 71; beloved husband of the late Barbara Jean (nee Veloski); loving father of Michael (wife Diane), Kimberly Maniglia, Cassandra Nutt (fiance William Sommers), Matthew (wife Kristi), Lenore Ohler (husband Joe) and the late Anthony; devoted grandfather and great-grandfather of many; predeceased in death by two grandchildren; dearest brother of Stanley, Sr. Theresine, SSJ-TOSF, Rose, Raymond and the late Sophie Muzila, Joseph, Frances Michnovic, John and Casmir; dear uncle of many. U.S. Marine Corp Veteran.

Frank was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Local 407 Teamsters. He was passionate about taking care of those less fortunate and loved spending time with his family. His favorite past-times were bowling, coaching and umpiring Little League Baseball and playing the lottery; he enjoyed listening to Country and Polka music. He played cards every Saturday with his family and will be missed at the pierogi-making at Christmas time. His family remembers Frank as a man who was a funny jokester but was also faithfully religious and cared deeply for others.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 21, 2012 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury at 11:00 AM. Burial following in All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Frank at THE DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) FRIDAY 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
