Frank Principe

FRANK PRINCIPE age 69, beloved husband for 43 years of Kathleen (nee Carrabotta); loving father of Frank (wife Nicole) and step-father of Melissa Nero, Nicole Kozell (husband Mark); devoted grandfather of Alessia, Anthony, Marissa and Frank, Jr.; cherished son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (nee Pezzente); dearest brother of the late Joseph (wife Barbara); dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.

Frank was born on June 15, 1951 and passed away on January 31, 2021. He was a resident of Mentor, but grew up in Mayfield Heights and was a proud parishioner of St. Clare church.  Frank graduated from Mayfield High School in 1969 and went on to own and operate his own waterproofing and construction trades company. Frank was an extremely generous, outgoing family man who was the life of the party. He enjoyed hosting parties, especially his roasted pepper and jarring party. Frank was big on tradition and loved being at his mother’s house for their huge Christmas celebration. Frank liked playing golf, cards and fishing, but most of all, he adored being around his family. After his father passed away when he was just 3 years old, his Uncle Mike became a true father figure to him and his brother Joe. Frank will be remembered most as a kind man who had an old soul and loved to talk about the old times. He will be forever missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd, Gates Mills. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private entombment at Knollwood Cemetery.
