FRANK N. “HANK” JIANNETTI age 89, beloved husband for 63 years of Mary “Babe” (nee Savoca); loving father of Frank (wife Barbara) and Michael (wife Cathy); devoted grandfather of Joseph, Jeanine Rivas (husband Anthony), Anthony, Jennifer Lyons (husband Christopher) and great-grandfather of Cali; cherished son of the late Bernardo Domenic and Marietta (nee Rossi) Giannetti; dearest brother of Stella Hazen (husband William, deceased), Rose Danko, Bernard Giannetti (wife Theresa), Carmella Iacianci (husband Victor), and the late Contalia Klinko (husband Ray); dear brother-in-law of the late Minnie Oddo and Anthony Savoca; treasured uncle to Mary Ann and Ray Montani and uncle and great-uncle to many other nieces and nephews; fond cousin and friend of many. WW II U.S. Navy Veteran.

Hank was born on November 7, 1926 and passed away on May 31, 2016. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. Hank was a member of Knights of Columbus Gilmour Council #310, Montenerodomo Citizen Club and ISDA University Lodge. He was the former Mayfield Hts baseball and softball commissioner for over 40 years. He went to Thomas Edison High School. Hank was a shop foreman in the packaging industry. Hank enjoyed gardening and was an avid golfer and organized the Italian Golf Open in Naples, Florida for 25 years where he spent his winters with Babe. Hank liked to play cards, do jigsaw puzzles and loved his Cleveland sports teams. He enjoyed listening to The Rat Pack including Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra. Hank was a fun loving, outgoing, passionate and very giving person. He had a great sense of humor, very family oriented and will be dearly missed.

Contributions may be made in Hank’s memory to Juvenile Diabetes Research 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd N #445, Independence, OH 44131. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, June 4, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10 AM. Entombment following with Military Honors at Knollwood Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Hank at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 2-4 and 5-8 PM.
