FRANK JOSEPH SEGA, age 72, cherished son of the late Frank and Antonia (nee Sepin); beloved brother of Antonia (Eric) Snyder, Jenny (Nick) Cipollo, and Mary Ann (Rob) Krueger; devoted uncle of Robert Snyder, Mark Cipollo, Carl Snyder, Anthony (Valerie) Krueger, Alexa Krueger, Nikko Cipollo, Evan Krueger, and Tyler Krueger; loving cousin of Stella (Darrell) Saylor, late John (Cindy) Janezic, Martin (Patty) Klammer, Ann Marie (Mike) Crossen, Roni (Gary) Fetsko and several cousins in Slovenia; blessed with many amazing friends.
He resided in Willoughby Hills. His first career was as a gifted motorcycle mechanic followed by a short stint as an instructor at Ohio Diesel. While grading papers, a group of Lubrizol managers came through and recognized Frank from a prior interview. Serendipitously, he then was hired as an engineer at the company. The last 20 years of his career was as a field engineer while living in Idaho. His music ranged from listening to WMMS in his youth to a more recent, mellow selection of country western, with George Strait as a favorite. In his younger days, he raced motorcycles filling his room with trophies. He loved the outdoors with fishing and hunting as lifelong hobbies. He was an avid shooter, sharing his skills with others as an instructor. His love for the outdoors carried over to the clubs he joined. Frank belonged to the Crooked Creek Conservation Club and the Orco Gun Club. He was a master at the sport of shooting and thrived on sharing his skill and knowledge with others. His favorite event was acting as an instructor for the Women in the Outdoors teaching them to shoot pistols. Frank will be greatly missed all year round but especially at Thanksgiving, his favorite holiday, in which he cherished the comforting meal surrounded by a grateful family for the time together. Frank was a loyal, brave, protective, strong, loved, witty man who always championed for the underdog. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Frank to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, November 8, 2024, at St. Vitus Catholic Church, 6019 Lausche Ave, Cleveland, OH 44103, at 11 AM. Immediately following the Mass, family will receive friends at The Parish Hall to celebrate and pay tribute to Frank's life. Frank will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
