FRANK HITI age 89, beloved husband for 60 years of Mary Jane (nee Milavec); loving father of Frank (wife Joan), Anthony (wife Maryanne) and Jeanette Weber (husband Roger); devoted grandfather of Frank (wife Melissa), Kaitlyn Donnelly (husband Kevin), Sarah Ross (husband Graham), Nicholas, Julia Weber, Martin, Ryan Weber and Mariana and great-grandfather of Mira and Maeve; cherished son of the late Franc and Ivana (nee Grze); dearest brother of Marija Jarc of Slovenia (husband Anton deceased), John (wife JoAnn) and the late Iva Debevc (husband Mirko deceased); dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many.

Frank was born in Nova Vas na Blokah, Slovenia on August 8, 1932 and passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022. He came to the United States from Slovenia in 1959 and was a resident of Euclid since that time. Frank worked as a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. After early retirement he served as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Euclid. He was an active member of the United Slovenian Society, Collinwood Slovenian Home – Holmes Avenue Pensioners, Friends of the Slovenian National Home, and St. John of the Cross Parish where he took care of the gardens and the shrine. His hobbies included gardening, woodworking, photography, and reading. He also enjoyed listening to polka music. His family and friends describe him as hardworking, quiet and reserved, dignified, and devoted to family and faith. He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Frank to St. John of the Cross Parish, 140 Richmond Road, Euclid, OH 44143 or the Friends of the Slovenian National Home, 6409 Saint Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44103. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11 AM at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Frank at THE CHURCH FRIDAY MORNING 10-11 AM. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
