Frank Grubelnik

FRANK A. GRUBELNIK was born 15 September 1947 in East Cleveland. Mr. G graduated from St. Mary's Elementary School in 1960. He attended St. Joseph High School. There, Frank joined the wrestling team for 2 years. Mr. G won a grant to go to Hiram College.

In 1967, there was an Ohio heavyweight championship, where he pinned all 4 opponents and even won MVP for that year. Frank was inducted into the hall of fame in 1996 for wrestling and football now showing in the "athletic hall" at Hiram College.

Mr. Grubelnik taught Science and biology at John Adams & Collinwood. He loved dissecting frogs, fetal pigs, and teaching students. He loved using a Van de Graaff generator.

His students loved his academics so much, they asked if their friends could attend his lessons.

Frank's hobbies were bike riding, gardening, playing bridge, and collecting knives & swords. He also enjoyed playing tennis and rock polishing, and he loved dogs, cats, and birds.

He married Barbara Jean Jordan Boeuf in 1973, and stayed with her until her death in 2016.

Mr. G enjoyed his retirement watching Oak Island, Ancient Aliens, the Science Channel, and the Discovery Channel. He especially liked discussing these shows with friends.

Frank has nieces & nephews and their children which are on his wife's side of the family. They live in California and Arizona.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home, with no services at this time.
