Frank C. Young

FRANK C. YOUNG age 73, beloved husband for 30 years of Aurelia M. (nee Butera); loving father of Danene Young-Brnjic (husband Nick, deceased), and Lisa Wiener (husband Eric, deceased); devoted grandfather of Jessica Wiener and the late Michael Wiener; cherished great-grandfather of Aiden Wiener and Arianna Nelson; loving son of the late George and Alice (nee Seese); dear brother of the late Dennis; U.S. Army Vietnam Conflict Veteran, served as a helicopter door-gunner.

Frank was born in East Cleveland on June 11, 1947 and passed away peacefully on March 15, 2021.  He was a resident of Mentor and was raised and lived life in Lake County.  After leaving the Army in 1970, Frank went to work in the car business.  He owned and operated Avenue Auto for many years and was a salesman for various dealerships. Frank was a huge sports fan, and a die-hard Cleveland Indians and Browns fan.  He loved listening to the Beatles.  Family brought him the most joy in life.  He loved spending time with his wife, daughters and grandkids, and he always loved a great Italian meal with family. His family describes Frank as being generous, kind, loving, always calm and a gentle giant. He will be missed by many.

Contributions may be made in memory of Frank to any Veterans organization of your choice. Due to COVID-19 and health concerns, PRIVATE family services planned. Burial with Military Honors at Knollwood Cemetery.
