Frank H. Blotnick III, age 70, beloved husband for 50 years of Virginia “Ginny” (nee Rychlik); loving father of Brian (Deborah) and Matthew (Elizabeth) Blotnick; devoted grandfather of Jason; cherished son of Anna (nee Yauneridge) and the late Frank H. Blotnick Jr.; dearest brother of John and James (Lisa) Blotnick and Cheryl (Jim) Gaidelis; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Frank was born on July 16, 1953 in Altoona, Pennsylvania and moved to the Cleveland area in 1955. He attended Wickliffe High School and graduated in 1971 and furthered his education at the Ohio Institute of Technology. After graduation, Frank had a long career as a technical support specialist and instructor where he would train students on the use of x-ray, CT, and nuclear medicine technology. Frank had a long career at Philips before retiring. Before and during retirement, Frank liked to spend his time traveling with his family, walk his beloved dog, Buster, in the parks and spend time outdoors. He was an avid motorcycle rider and always tried to find ways to make things special for his family. Frank also enjoyed his time volunteering at TriPoint Hospital. Those that knew him would say he was an animal lover, mechanically inclined, Mr. Fix-It and an all-around family man that cherished every moment with them. He will be missed by all that had the privilege to know him.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. 8560 Mentor Ave. Mentor OH 44046. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Frank at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM.
