FRANCISKA “FANI” OMAHEN (SLAJPAH)

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Franciska “Fani” Omahen 10 a.m. Saturday February 6, 2016 at St. Mary’s Church 15519 Holmes Ave. Cleveland, OH followed by burial in All Souls Cemetery Chardon, OH.

Mrs. Omahen passed away Sunday January 31. Born in Sentlovrenc, Slovenia, she was a resident of Richmond Hts. for 40 years. She was very well known for her baking Slovenian Potica and strudels. Fani was a member of the Slovenska Pristava Pensioners.  She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Ellie (David) Rickard; grandchildren Anthony Arianna, Annamarie and Dominic; sister Julka Strmec and nephew Tony (Diana) Kalar and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Leopold “Polde” and 20 siblings.

Family will receive friends 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home 28890 Chardon Rd. Willoughby Hills, OH.
