FRANCIS C. STASICK “CHAS”, aged 96 years, beloved husband of the late Olga (nee Derczo), dear father of Diana Acton (husband Patrick), Betsy Lerch (husband Dan), and Les (wife Carmela), loving grandfather of Jon (wife Jamie) and Matthew (wife Natacha) Acton, Christina Shepherd (husband Jacob), Robin and Doug Lerch, and Allison Hager (husband Tyler), great-grandfather of 6, cherished brother of the late Helen Grabenstetter, Steve, Joe and John Stasick, fond uncle and great-uncle.
He was born on Jan. 9, 1920 in Marianna, Pennsylvania. He was a resident of the Lyndhurst – Highland Heights area since 1982. He previously resided in the Shaker Square area of Cleveland, and was a former member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He was a United States Army Air Corps Veteran, and was a dedicated employee of the East Ohio Gas Co., retiring in 1985. He enjoyed golfing, and loved the game of baseball. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Lake Erie Captains. He was a member of the Gilmour Council of the Knights of Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Fr. John Thomas Lane, S.S.S., pastor, will officiate. Entombment following with Military Honors in Western Reserve Memorial Garden. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Chas at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM.
