Frances Divoky

FRANCES C. DIVOKY (nee Runo), age 80; beloved wife of the late Louis; loving mother of David (wife Donna), Anne Marie, Daniel (wife Rebecca), Catherine (Richard Palcie) and Stephanie Zanders; devoted grandmother of Nicholas, Peter (deceased), Charles, Clarissa, Clyde (deceased), Xavier, Evalynn and great-grandmother of Isabella and William Louis; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Mary (nee Risko) Runo; dearest sister of Frank Runo, Marilyn Brenkus and George Runo; dear aunt and great-aunt.

Frances was a resident of Chardon since 1959, previously living in Cleveland. She was a member of St. Mary Parish in Chardon since 1959. Frances was a member of the Women’s Guild, Bereavement Ministry and taught CCD. She also was an organist at St. Mary. Frances volunteered for Women Safe and was a member of the Teachers Guild and Christ Child Society. She graduated from Ursuline College and was a teacher for Chardon School District, as a Music Teacher for the sixth graders at Chardon Middle School. She enjoyed music of all types, reading, knitting and crocheting. Frances enjoyed most of all spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. Her family remembers her as loving, well liked, kind, generous and patient.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North Street, Chardon at 10:00 AM. Burial following in All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Frances at THE DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) on TUESDAY from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
