Frances C. Fierra

FRANCES C. FIERRA (nee Ursetti) age 97, beloved wife of the late James; loving mother of Jeffrey M.D. and Deborah Johnson (husband Roy); devoted grandmother of Kelly Voss; cherished daughter of the late Sam and Anna (nee Mirasole) Ursetti; dearest sister of Helen Duffy, and the late Carmen Ursetti, Grace Profetta, and Paul Ursetti; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Frances was born on April 13th 1920 in Cleveland Ohio and passed away on December 8th 2017. She was a parishioner of St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church. Frances proudly worked as a cashier at Fisher Foods and at Catalano’s Stop and Shop where she retired after many years. She was a seamstress in her early years and made many communion dresses. Frances greatly enjoyed gardening in her free time and always had the largest tomatoes. She loved cooking, watching the Cleveland Indians, and listening to Perry Como and Dean Martin. Frances was giving, selfless, hardworking, strong willed and determined. She always had her family’s back and was great at solving problems. Frances will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Frances at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
