Florence V. Drewlo

FLORENCE V. DREWLO (nee Gechei) age 94, beloved wife of the late Edward; loving mother of the late Dennis Drewlo, Sr. and Leslie Ashcroft (husband Reynold); devoted grandmother of Patrice Mishaga (husband Joseph), Ryan and the late Dennis Drewlo, Jr.; cherished great-grandmother of Joseph, Jonah and Carlene Mishaga, and Alyssa Drewlo; dearest sister of the late Robert Gechei, Dorothy Petko and Warren Gechei;

Florence was born in Cleveland on June 8, 1926 and passed away peacefully on April 8, 2021. She was a resident of Chesterland and previously lived in Richmond Heights.  Florence graduated from John Addams High School in 1944 and spent most of her life caring for her family which she found the greatest joy spending time with.  She loved dancing, and live music especially Big Band music and Frank Sinatra.  Florence enjoyed going out to the Eagle’s Club and especially Thursday nights out with granddaughter Patrice and her friends.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her the most enjoyment in life, especially gatherings that involved food.  Florence is described by her family as kind, gentle, stubborn, yet very slow to anger.  She was fun, witty, and the life of the party.  She will be missed by many.

Celebration of Life Service FRIDAY, APRIL 16, 2021 at 10:30 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Private Burial following at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Florence at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  THURSDAY 6-8 PM.
