Ferdinand Krecic

FERDINAND O. KRECIC age 92, beloved husband for 50 years of Marija (nee Strancar); loving father of Anthony and Mary Ellen Shepard, PhD (husband Dale, MD); devoted grandfather of Maria, Eva, Anthony, Anna, Matthew, Sophia, Benjamin, and Ella Shepard; cherished son of the late Ferdinand and Frances (nee Cehovin).

Ferdinand was born September 30, 1925 in Cleveland and passed away on October 25, 2017. He was a resident of Euclid for 60 years and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and St. John of the Cross. Ferdinand married the love of his life Marija at St. Mary’s in Collinwood 50 years ago. He attended college at Western Reserve where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and became a chemist for Hall Chemical Company. Ferdinand loved reading about history, especially World War I. He enjoyed bird watching, nature and traveling to over 40 states. Ferdinand was described by his family as a good grandfather who was very detailed, patient, and social. He also had a great sense of humor. Ferdinand will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 28, 2017 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church at 11 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ferdinand at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY MORNING 9-10:30 AM.
