Eva Angelo

EVA MARIE ANGELO (nee Ciofani) age 91, beloved wife of the late Joseph; loving mother of Linda Lou (deceased), Laura Lee Mayer and Joseph (Lori); devoted grandmother of Kathleen Pietropinto (Andy), James Chakerelis, Joseph, Nicholas, John, great-grandmother of Dahnyale, Harry, Andrew and great-great-grandmother of Michael; cherished daughter of the late Vincent and Loretta (nee Colantonio) Ciofani; dearest sister of Romeo Ciofani (Madeline) and the late Fausta Godale (Robert, deceased); dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Eva was born November 20, 1923 in Rome, Italy.  She has lived at the Gardens of McGregor in East Cleveland for the past four years, but previously lived in South Euclid.  Eva graduated from Collinwood High School and was a successful owner/operator of Michelangelo’s Coach House in Cleveland Heights.  Eva was also a volunteer for the St. Gregory Altar Society, Little Sisters of the Poor, and St. Gregory School.  In addition to volunteering, Eva loved to needlepoint and was a passionate cook, excellent baker and gardener.  She was also a faithful Cleveland Indians fan.  Eva’s greatest enjoyment in life, though, was her grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her loving, generous and forgiving nature and for her sense of humor.  Eva was “truly a gift from God.”

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 16, 2015, at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 11 AM. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Eva at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
