Mena passed away peacefully on February 23, 2022. She lived in Mayfield Heights for the past 67 years and prior to that resided in Collinwood. She was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church. Mena was a proud 1948 graduate of Shaw High School in Cleveland. She enjoyed a long friendship for over 70 years with her “club girls” from high school. She was a homemaker and an administrative assistant at Progressive Insurance.
She was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University. She enjoyed playing golf and bowling and served as president for her bowling league. Mena also enjoyed big band music and gambling, especially playing the slot machines. However, what brought her the greatest joy was her family. She was so proud of all her children and grandchildren and mostly loved being able to be a great grandmother. She was a beautiful woman with a warm sense of humor. She was devoted to her faith and her family and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mena to Hospice of Cleveland Clinic, 6801 Brecksville Rd #10, Cleveland, OH 44131.
