Elmer Perme

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015. Elmer was born in Cleveland on October 20, 1924 with his twin brother Raymond. Elmer married the love of his life Vida (nee Levstik) on August 9, 1952. He was a devoted family man and an active member of St. Christine’s Parish, the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters and the Golden Gophers. Elmer served in World War II as a B-17 pilot and received several decorations for his dedicated service. He retired from the Navy Finance Center in 1985 as a Senior Systems Analyst.

He is survived by children Cathy, Larry (Michele), Philip, and Daniel Perme; grandchildren Erin Lagace (Ken), Jordan Perme (Chris Lees), Gabriel Perme, and Lucy Gore; and his great-grandchildren Avery and Piper Lagace. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vida; his brother Raymond; and his parents Louis and Frances Perme.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday August 5, 2015 at St. Mary’s Church 15519 Holmes Ave. followed by burial in All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME 28890 CHARDON RD. WILLOUGHBY HILLS TUESDAY 4-8 P.M.
