ELMER C. NEMETH age 89, former husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Seech); loving father of Melissa Ann Seidowski (husband Steve); cherished son of the late Elmer P. and Anne H. (nee Konecny).
A thoughtful, reserved, and intelligent man, Elmer was born April 6, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in the Buckeye Road Hungarian Neighborhood. Elmer graduated in 1953 from Benedictine High School where he played football and baseball; later attending Kent State University to study business. With his determination and sense of humor, he excelled as a sales representative for Sears. Elmer was drawn to the outdoors, where he genuinely appreciated nature's simple pleasures.
In retirement he enjoyed reading, completing crossword puzzles, watching sports, and caring for his grand cat Buttons. An avid music listener, classical and jazz selections were often playing on the stereo.
Elmer passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on November 13, 2024. Friends and family will remember him for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and the wisdom he shared throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Elmer to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at https://www.stjude.org.
