Elizabeth Wellman

ELIZABETH A. WELLMAN (nee McKee) age 86, beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of Elizabeth (nee Shields) Ruggerio (husband Richard) and Mike Shields (wife Debbie); devoted grandmother of Lisa Eldridge, Michele Ruggerio, Gina Davidson, Rachel Gerlica, Matthew and Colin Shields and great-grandmother of 12; cherished daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (nee Brown) McKee; dearest sister of the late Samuel McKee, Robert McKee and her twin Jean Troyanovich.

Betty was born on August 8, 1930 in Cleveland and passed away on July 18, 2017. She was a resident of Kirtland, previously of Willoughby. Betty graduated from Shaw High School and worked as a record librarian for KYW (now WKYC). She loved bingo, crosswords, needlepoint, crochet, bowling, baking, cards and cats. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered most as a fun and spunky woman. Betty will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Betty to Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Betty at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  SUNDAY 2-4 PM.
