Elene H. Landin

ELENE H. LANDIN (nee Evanick) age 94, beloved wife of the late Charles Landin and Stephen W. Kundrach; loving mother of David (wife Jacqueline), Douglas, and Jeffrey Kundrach; devoted grandmother of Jennifer Soros (husband David), Stephanie and Julie Kundrach and great-grandmother of Paige Soros; cherished daughter of the late John and Helen (nee Adamsky) Evanick; dearest sister of Ralph Evanick (wife Patricia); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Elene was born on March 3, 1923 and died December 16, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst, and graduated from John Hay High School. Elene earned a bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame College, where she worked for over 20 years. Her hobbies included traveling, socializing, and reading, and she had a natural curiosity for life. A nature-lover with a “green thumb,” Elene was an avid gardener and had lots of plants in her house.

Elene was devoted to her family and enjoyed baking and cooking over the holidays. She loved to laugh and had a great smile. Elene will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 21, 2017 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Elene at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 3-7 PM.
