ELENA “Ellen” (nee Teresi) LaPUMA

Mass of Christian Burial for Elena “Ellen” LaPuma (nee Teresi), 89, of Wickliffe, will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 37932 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.  Mrs. LaPuma died Sunday at Lake West Hospital after a brief illness.

Mrs. LaPuma was born on May 18, 1926 in Cleveland. She was a resident of Wickliffe for over 60 years, previously residing in Cleveland.  She and her husband were long-time parishioners of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.  Ellen loved bingo, bowling, cooking, and feeding family and friends.  She is described by family as spirited, full of life and stoic.

Ellen is survived by her grandchildren Mathew A. III (wife Sarah), Nicholas (wife Megan) and David; daughter-in-law Michelle (nee Pratt); she was the aunt and great-aunt of many.

Mrs. LaPuma was preceded in death by her husband Mathew A. Sr., her son Mathew A. Jr.; and 8 siblings.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ellen on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Rd. (between Bishop and Rt. 91.)  Burial will follow the Mass in All Souls Cemetery.
