Eleanor Salettel

ELEANOR M. SALETTEL (nee Earley) age 98, beloved wife of the late Joseph F.; loving mother of Dennis J. (wife Maureen nee Kiernan) and the late Sharon “Sherry” Matejka (husband Joseph); devoted grandmother of Colin (deceased), Kelly and Megan Salettel, Katie Berman (Neil), Anne Dieglio (Tony), Joseph, Jr. (Rory), Mark (Susan), James (Sydney), and Maureen Koscinski (Kenneth) and great-grandmother of 11; preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; dear aunt and great-aunt of many; dearest friend for 90 years of Dolores Baginski.

Eleanor was a 6 year resident of Mayfield Heights previously of Lyndhurst for 50+ years. She was a charter member of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church and a member of the ladies guild. She was also a member of the Emerald Civic Society and worked the election booth in Lyndhurst every year. She graduated from St. Phillip Neri High School and went on to be a homemaker. Eleanor enjoyed cooking, Big Band music and she loved the Cleveland Indians. Her family would describe her as a great cook, and a wonderful mother and grandmother with an infectious laugh. Eleanor will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Eleanor at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) TUESDAY 2-4 and 5-8 PM.
